American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has launched a new premium service to business travellers.
Named First, the product offers personalised business trip planning, including continuous monitoring of traveller needs by a team of permanently on-call travel counsellors.
First claims to go beyond simply choosing the right airline seat or meal preference. GBT says the scheme is a commitment to removing travel obstacles and ensuring a traveller can maximise productivity while on the road.
Joanna Macleod, Senior Vice-President, Global Service Delivery, GBT, says: “Our customers are constantly on the move, some travelling up to 40 times a year or more. These ‘next generation’ travellers want 24/7 access to dedicated travel counsellors who really know them. First provides access to a dedicated team of experienced specialists who are available any day, any time, no matter where the traveller is located, and who can take all those unique traveller preferences into account.”
New travellers joining the First platform are offered a welcome interview designed to gain a proper understanding of the traveller’s habits, priorities and preferences.
First is available to American Express Global Business Travel customers in the UK, US and Australia.
