Workspace provider Regus Express has opened the first high specification meeting rooms and lounge dedicated solely to business at London Heathrow airport.
The facilities, located in Terminal 5 Arrivals, are designed for business travellers and mobile workers. A business lounge features a range of professional co-working spaces, private workstations called ThinkPods, mobile phone charging points, secure Wi-Fi and cloud-based printing and copying facilities.
The airport authorities say that feedback from the airport’s retailers, airlines and external businesses pointed to particularly high demand for the meeting rooms within the international hub airport, which are available in a range of sizes and are bookable by the hour.
Stephen Wilkinson, Heathrow’s Property Director said: “We are delighted to announce that Regus Express at Terminal 5 is open, offering retailers, businesses and mobile workers a professional environment for working or meeting.”
Phil Kemp, Global Managing Director of Regus Third Place, said: “This is the first Regus Express location at a UK airport, and we envisage it becoming a popular touch-down point and meeting venue for a wide variety of users, not just airport passengers.
“We are working with various partners to extend the Regus Express network so that people can work productively wherever they are, from train stations, motorway service areas and petrol stations, to shopping centres and universities,” he added.
Regus Express offers two ways of accessing the centres:
- Pay-as-you-go access priced at £8 per hour /£40 per day
- Regus Businessworld Gold membership at £35 per month, which provides drop-in access to Regus’ UK network of business lounges including Regus Express.
Regus now has 300 business centres in the UK and a worldwide network across 104 countries.
