New appointments and promotions at Chambers Travel Group

London-based Chambers Travel Group has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of two new senior executives. Daniel Von Weihe has joined as Executive VP Business Development to head up the overall team, while Antony Elliott (pictured) has joined as VP of Sales EMEA.
The travel management company has also promoted Matthew Heymans to VP of International Sales and Jane Worrow as Director of UK Sales responsible for strategic opportunities.
Von Weihe joins the company from Workshare, a global document collaboration company he co-founded in 2010. Before Workshare he spent 14 years at LexisNexis InterAction where he opened the company’s first non-US office in London.
Elliott joins Chambers from HRS Ltd where he was Head of Corporate Sales UK & Ireland since 2010.
“Over the last 12 months Chambers has increased annual sales from large-scale clients by £15.6m and also won £8m in annual incremental SME business,” said CEO Chris Thelen. “The restructuring of our sales operations and these appointments will enable Chambers to focus on our growth markets and continue expanding in the UK, Europe and US.
Daniel Von Weihe is taking on a newly created leadership role, while Anthony Elliott is replacing Paul Broughton, the outgoing Sales Director of five years, who is taking a new position with Travelport.
Full service agency Chambers TravelEvents, part of Chambers Travel Group, recently expanded its own team with three new appointments.
