Grass Roots appoints former BBC CFO

Employee and customer engagement solutions provider Grass Roots has appointed Zarin Patel as Chief Financial Officer.

Patel, who previously worked for the BBC, will act as CFO for the global Grass Roots Group, and will sit on the Group Board and on the Executive Leadership Team.
Patel was the longest serving CFO at the BBC after joining the organisation in 1998. She had overall responsibility for the BBC Finance and Business division, sat on the BBC’s Executive Board and was also a Non-Executive Director of BBC Worldwide.
Prior to her time with the BBC, she gained 15 years’ experience with KPMG at a senior level working with multi-national corporations across the industrial and commercial sectors.

Grass Roots recently hired Michael Basel as Sales Director for strategic meetings management in its Germany Meetings & Events division.
