Business travel and event management agency, Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) has reported sales of £8.67bn for the first half of 2014, a 2.7 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2013.
The company has also announced that transactions are up 4.3 per cent to 32.5m for the first six months of the year, with new sales hitting £450m.
CWT says it has maintained its strong client retention rate of 98 per cent.
“We have seen a strong performance in the first half of 2014,” says President and CEO of CWT, Douglas Anderson (pictured). “We will continue to deliver outstanding customer service as well as the new and enhanced services that our customers are asking for, such as mobile booking on our CWT To GoTM app.”
In other news, Jane Baker has left the global meetings and events division of CWT, CWT Meetings & Events, and joined London-based experiential marketing company FreemanXP as VP Client Development International.
Baker joined CWT in August 2011 as Business Development Director before moving to the role of Commercial Director at CWT Meetings & Events in July 2013. Prior to her three years at CWT, Baker was Business Development Director at global event and experience marketing agency George P Johnson.
