Capita Travel and Events appoints Director of Customer Relations

Event management company Capita Travel and Events has appointed Steve Wilson as Director of Customer Relations.

In the newly created role, Wilson will be responsible for the agency’s entire corporate and public sector travel account management team. His focus will be on nurturing the account management team and delivering effective customer relationships.

Wilson reports directly to Paul Boyle, Chief Executive Officer at Capita Travel and Events.

“Our business has seen sector-leading growth, and we intend to grow it further,” says Boyle. “With that comes the need for our account management teams to evolve, encompassing broader customer needs and delivery of value without losing sight of the traveller experience.

“Steve’s expertise in international account management is supported by experience in operations and travel programme management, making him the ideal person to help us progress our account management team,” Boyle adds.

Wilson has over 25 years of operational and client management agency experience, the last 18 of which were at international management level for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

Last week it was announced that Anita Lowe, Director of Meetings and Events at Capita Travel and Events will be leaving the agency at the end of September to “pursue a new career in the industry”.
