World Cup fever for events at National Football Museum

The National Football Museum in Manchester’s top floor event space, The Suite, is reporting a 43 per cent surge in daytime and early evening event enquiries year-on-year.

The figures, venue operator Kudos says, have been boosted by the interest in the World Cup and all things football.

Kudos says many enquiries for The Suite are linked to larger bookings connected to the main museum.
Delegates have been taking up the opportunity to use the interactive football games on offer at the museum during the World Cup period, says Nicky Pratt, Business Development Director for Kudos.

“There are not many venues in the area that have daytime space linked to a museum that offers interactive or entertainment value, as most of the museums or historic buildings are open to the public during the day and only available for private hire in the evening,” Pratt added.

The Kudos food and venue management services have an annual turnover of £22m and employ 1,500 people.
