Grass Roots, provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, has appointed David Taylor to the new role of Global Account Director, with sole focus on opportunities with WPP.
WPP is one of Grass Roots’ major shareholders. The communications services group, employs 170,000 people at 3,000 offices in 110 countries.
As an affiliate of WPP, The Grass Roots Group says it has created this dedicated position in order to concentrate the strength and reach of their route to market and to enable benefits and value for both organisations’ client bases.
Taylor will now split his time between his existing strategic meetings management sales role for the Grass Roots Meetings & Events division and this new opportunity to develop Grass Roots’ proposition as a provider of integrated engagement solutions across all divisional areas of expertise and all geographies. He will be responsible for progressing a global strategic plan, identifying the most appropriate offerings and recommending various investments as necessary.
Taylor’s new role has led to Hannah Wilkinson stepping up to take sole responsibility for sales and account management for the Meetings & Events division, and Sue Massey will extend her Head of Operations role to also look after strategic meetings management implementation.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate David on his new role,” says John Bunting, Chief Commercial Officer for Grass Roots. “The potential for growth through partnering with WPP is enormous and will only benefit both parties. We have no doubt it will also create significant value for all our clients, both existing and prospective. David has an outstanding track-record and has the knowledge and expertise to introduce many of Grass Roots’ integrated solutions to a wider audience.”
Grass Roots recently posted its 2013 profits, which it says were ’in line’ with previous years.
