’First’ Google Glass event app revealed

Technical staging company Blitz Communications’ Science Museum event in London has revealed ’the first event industry Google Glass app’ and showcased Oculus Rift technology.
Some 120 delegates arrived at Blitz Connection, 2 July, to try out the Google device as well as technology including Oculus Rift, a virtual reality device that was showcasing Peugeot content.

Other attractions included Arcstream’s augmented reality and a Twitter feed from Think Wall.
Billed as the “first ever Google Glass app for events”, Your Show, was also presented. It will display presentation prompts to the device using voice recognition for presenters.
Speakers included London Launch founder Will Broome, who discussed technology that is accessible now and his recent research.
“Ads are dead,” he said. “People won’t be told what to do, they have to arrive at their own decisions. Events are a great way to influence people.”
