EVCOM to focus on direct engagement with members

Newly rebranded industry association EVCOM is to focus more tightly on engaging directly with its members to deliver the plans it has made for the year.

The inaugural meeting of the new EVCOM board during the International Festival for Business in Liverpool recently helped chart the new course.

EVCOM Chairman Dale Parmenter said: “We had a really inspirational meeting. We outlined an exciting plan for the year, now we’re focused on delivering it.  As part of our strategy we agreed that Board members would increase our direct engagement with members giving existing, new and potential members direct contact and engagement with Board members.”

A new set of EVCOM action groups are charged with coordinating and delivering the new plans. The action groups are led by current board members and will target: Regulation and Government liaison; Training, Development and Education; Membership; Communication; Events and Awards and Commercial/Sponsorship.

EVCOM CEO Marco Forgione said: “We’ve made really superb progress since January. The Board is really strong with broad representation from across the visual content and events industry. We’ve got a very compelling strategy that is clearly focused on making members more successful across a wide range of key activities. It’s certainly going to be a busy year.”
