Conference Centres of Excellence to target hotels

Conference Centres of Excellence (CCE) is looking to grow its membership in the 2014/2015 membership year by expanding both its geographical coverage and range of venues to include hotels.

CCE says it is particularly keen to find new members in city centres and the north of England. CCE adds that it has monitored trends in the market and is keen to expand its membership by including hotels with specialist conference facilities.

“Our priority is to develop a broader footprint which will enable us to provide even more options for our customers,” says Alan Robinson, Membership Director. “By bringing new venues into the membership, we offer customers a clear promise about the service and facilities on offer. In turn, members have the benefit of sharing best practice which offers support in maintaining and raising the standards and service delivered to each delegate.”

For 21 years, member venues have been entitled to a full range of the consortium’s activities and benefits including the work of its central sales and enquiry handling ream; business referrals within the group; its extensive marketing effort to communicate the values of specialist venues; dedicated pages on the website and event planning brochures; use of the CCE branding; and regular member events.

In other CCE news, the group has welcomed etc.venues 155 Bishopsgate in London (pictured) as its newest member. The 6,000sqm purpose-built conference and event venue, can accommodate up to 500 delegates and offers an exhibition space for 35-plus exhibition stands.
