The conference will take place at the Bournemouth International Centre, 19-23 September 2015, and will be supported by an exhibition and programme of fringe events both in the conference venue and across the town. Party leaders and members will hold consultative sessions and debates concluding with the leader’s speech on the final day.
“We are delighted to be welcoming the Liberal Democrats back to Bournemouth for their annual conference; a result of collaborative planning between organisers and partners including Bournemouth Borough Council, Delegate Reservations and accommodation providers,” says Peter Gunn, Chief Executive for BH Live, the trust which manages the Bournemouth International Centre.
“Expected to attract in the region of 4,000 delegates each day, the conference will be a boost for the town and is estimated to contribute £6.5m into the local economy through business tourism.”
Lucy Hope, Head of Conferences and Events for the Liberal Democrats, adds: “Bournemouth has always been a popular conference destination for our members and we’re looking forward to being back by the sea and working with the team at the Bournemouth International Centre again.”
