Ashfield strengthens exhibition offer through Medex-Media

UDG Healthcare plc, the parent company of the Ashfield Division, having acquired KnowledgePoint360 Group in March 2014, is now finding synergies by adding exhibition services to Ashfield’s existing conference delivery capabilities.

KnowledgePoint360 was headquartered in Macclesfield in the UK and in Lyndhurst, New Jersey in the US, and brought more than 700 staff across 12 global locations.

Ashfield Meetings & Events Global Managing Director Nicola Burns says the acquisition has now led to the strengthening both of Ashfield’s Healthcare Communications and its Meetings & Events division.

Burns says: “KnowledgePoint360 Group significantly enhances our creative, digital and e-learning capabilities. In addition it also adds a new and exciting in-house offering of exhibition services through its Medex-Media division.”

Medex-Media has been working with healthcare clients to deliver effective exhibition and live event environments since 1985, delivering around 70 projects annually at major international congresses.

Ashfield Meetings & Events’ Head of Sales & Marketing, Luke Flett, adds: “The recent acquisition has really resonated with our client base, particularly the addition of exhibition services. We have already had several successful collaborative new business wins and have numerous on-going discussions with clients from both sides of the business. The services are naturally aligned so it is very easy to demonstrate how we can add value by combining the delivery.
