The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) has announced the appointment of Lisa Maule (pictured) as Commercial Director for The Royal Highland Centre (RHC).
Joining from DF Concerts & Events, Maule brings events expertise to the newly created role. She will take up her new role in July and oversee the strategic direction of the event business, which attracts over a million visitors each year.
Reporting to RHASS Chief Executive, Stephen Hutt, she has been tasked with attracting new events to the Edinburgh venue as well as maximising the commercial opportunities of the 280-acre site adjacent to Edinburgh Airport.
Maule has also worked previously as Global Brand Manager for Glayva (Whyte & Mackay) and Marketing & PR Manager for Setanta Sports.
“Lisa brings valuable know-how to the Royal Highland Centre and will be an asset to the RHASS management team,” says Hutt. “Her knowledge of business development strategies and brand management will be invaluable as we look to build on the Royal Highland Centre’s already well-established reputation as one of Scotland’s premier event spaces.”
Maule added: “I look forward to expanding the Royal Highland Centre’s business and leveraging our relationship with the exhibition and conferencing industry, as we look to build on the venue’s existing reputation and realise its goal of being the first choice for events, exhibitions and conferences in Scotland.”
Forthcoming events at the venue include Scotland’s largest outdoor event The Royal Highland Show and the Society’s new food event, Eat Drink Discover Scotland.
