EVCOM carries on the summer Eventia tradition

Summer is on a Wednesday this year for EVCOM. The new-look association for the Live Communications sector, combining the old memberships of Eventia and IVCA, is continuing the Summer Eventia tradition, but renamed and cut to a one-day conference at Olympia London, 17 September.

Marco Forgione (pictured), Chief Executive of EVCOM, said: “The Summer Eventia established itself as one of the key educational and networking events in the UK’s conference calendar, offering exceptional content and superb networking, and we did not want to lose this. We firmly believe there is still a need for this type of event in the educational calendar and look forward to producing Summer EVCOM this September.”
A one-day programme of education, networking and discussion will be backed up with a celebration and festival of art and entertainment.
Nick Graham, Head of Sales, Olympia London, said: “We are thrilled to work with EVCOM on this highly regarded and much anticipated event. We look forward to presenting Olympia’s strengths as an experiential and conference destination to the members of this vibrant new association.”
Delegates unable to attend the main conference programme can still buy a ticket for EVCOM Fest, which will take place during the evening of 17 September.
Eventia-IVCA was rebranded as EVCOM in March 2014 and is comprised of a variety of professionals, agencies, freelancers, destinations, production companies and suppliers – all working throughout the events and visual communication sector.
