Data gathered on Christmasvenues.com, the Christmas parties website operated by venue and event search engine company CYE group, has revealed an average 98 per cent increase in Christmas party enquiries when comparing data for May 2013 with May 2014.
In addition to this, city to city analysis revealed that enquiry levels alter throughout the UK’s cities. Comparing January to June 2014 with the same period in 2013 saw a growth in enquiries for London venues of 29 per cent, 27 per cent in Manchester, 22 per cent in Cardiff and an 18 per cent growth in Glasgow. Nottingham recorded the biggest increase in Christmas party enquiry levels (122%).
Ben Gray, CYE Group MD said: “We have redeveloped our sites to improve the user experience, so it is fair to say that some of the increases in enquiry level we’re seeing on Christmasvenues.com, such as increases in bookings for exclusive parties from 700 to 1,000, are a result of our own marketing successes, but when you add in the findings relating to budgets and guests numbers, a much more reliable pattern appears.”
Christmasvenues.com also noted a rise of 32.8 per cent in average budget per head, from £43.02 to £57.13 per head, and a 34.9 per cent increase in the average number of guests, from 68 to 92.
