In addition to offering over 30 thrilling rides, attractions and live events, Thorpe Park Resort is now becoming increasingly recognised as one of the UK’s more original venues for corporate events, and is available for organisers looking to host memorable days that won’t blow the budget, with packages available from £32 per person.
Providing a home for hospitality fun days, teambuilding and VIP experiences, conferences and exhibitions, Thorpe Park Resort offers companies an opportunity to integrate meetings with rides and attractions.
The Resort offers much more than its 30 rides. Opened eight years ago, its Lake View event space offers clients 940sqm of adaptable and flexible space overlooking landscaped gardens and many of the Resort’s rides. Lake View provides conference and banqueting facilities as well as plenty of space for breakout sessions. It has also invested in an integrated sound system and flexible lighting, including spot-lighting and colour wash walls.
Jennifer Connery, Head of Corporate Events said: “Any company that chooses Thorpe Park Resort can expect the unexpected. The Resort has gained the reputation of being the must visit destination to scream louder, laugh harder and share endless fun. What could be more exhilarating than opening a conference, event or an incentive with a ride on The Swarm, the UK’s first winged rollercoaster or Stealth, one of Europe’s fastest and tallest rollercoasters ensuring all delegates are ready for a ‘high performance’ day ahead.
“2014 has seen an increase in business bookings and enquiries as companies and agents recognise that Thorpe Park Resort offers a blank canvas with a difference, where possibilities for creating memorable events from 50-5,000 delegates are endless in an easily accessible part of the country. We are also committed to further investment in our corporate event offering in 2014 and beyond.”
Always looking for new ways to encourage teambuilding, the Resort has teamed up with Hartley Events to produce a chocolate-based activity – Chocolate Coaster Challenge.
Paul Hartley, MD Chocolatier and Chef at Hartley Events said: “There is a great fondness for chocolate and it’s at the heart of this teambuilding activity. The emphasis is on having fun while working as a team; it will take a collaborative effort, effective communication and time management to design and construct the chocolate coasters. Chocolate is a brilliant levelling tool as 99.9 per cent of people have never worked with it let alone made a rollercoaster out of it.”
