The Westpoint venue in Exeter is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a limited offer to charities to stage an event at the venue for free.
What Westpoint management claims to be the largest exhibition and entertainment venue in the South West has opened its offer to a maximum of four charities on specific dates – 9 August, 6 September, 1 November and 13 December.
There will be free access to the Function Room, Wadsworth Pavilion log cabin and Showground, and the charities can let their imaginations run wild.
The whole site lends itself to a variety of indoor and outdoor events. Westpoint’s log cabin could be the perfect location for a family fun day and barbeque, the function room for a party or meeting, or the showground could be the perfect location for a host of outdoor activities.
Whatever the event, the Westpoint team says it will be on hand to support charities in realising their events.
Chief Executive of Westpoint Exeter, Richard Maunder, says: “We are excited to be able to offer such a great opportunity to organisations that may not have the funds to hire a large venue or host events. We’ve been lucky enough to work with some brilliant charities over the years and I’m thrilled that we can continue to offer support further as we celebrate our milestone birthday. I’m looking forward to seeing all the wild and wonderful event applications we receive.”
Charities wishing to take part in Westpoint Exeter’s 25th Anniversary Charity Days should submit their application to Emily Egan at firstname.lastname@example.org, including as much detail of the proposed day as possible. The deadline for applications is 2 June.
