Manchester Meeting Place is the new brand name for The University of Manchester’s Staff House Conference Centre, near to Piccadilly station.
This city centre meeting venue has completed the final phase of its refurbishment with new furnishings and upgraded AV equipment in all of its meeting rooms.
The University of Manchester’s core Hospitality and Events team are now based in this non-academic building to support meetings and training events. The new name is designed to reflect the new dedicated focus on delivering the delegate experience.
Mel Stephens, Manchester Meeting Place Conference Manager, said: “Our meeting rooms range in capacity from 20 to 90 theatre style, benefit from free Wi-Fi access and plentiful natural daylight. Our professional in-house team is located in the building to ensure every aspect of an event runs smoothly and all organisers receive free parking right outside the venue. Our refreshment lounge called ‘The Hub’, now offers delegates freshly ground coffee or tea as well as fruit juice, fresh fruit and biscuits during breaks.”
The building’s dedicated 100-seat restaurant has also recently developed a new menu using seasonal locally grown produce.
Manchester Meeting Place is one of 30 venues available at The University of Manchester.
