Intuit appoints Capita Travel and Events to support growth plans

Event management company Capita Travel and Events, Brands2Life and Gravity London have been appointed by Intuit, a provider of back office software to small businesses, to support its growth plans.

Capita Travel and Events will look after Intuit’s events programme, Brands2Life will handle the company’s PR and social media and Gravity London will be the lead strategy and creative agency.

As SMEs continue to power the UK’s economic growth, Intuit is investing heavily to become the back office partner on which their businesses are built. It recently appointed a new UK management team; moved into new offices in London’s Victoria; launched a major recruitment programme; and is placing a major focus on developing tighter relationships with the UK’s SMEs and accounting committees.

The agencies, who will report to the recently appointed Director of Marketing, David Walsh, share a common brief centred around driving sales and awareness of Intuit’s QuickBooks Online product. They will form an extension of the Intuit communications team.

“We are at a crucial time in Intuit’s story and we needed three outstanding agencies to give us the communications powerhouse we need to deliver on the growth opportunity ahead of us,” said Walsh. “All three impressed us with their creativity, industry expertise and strategic thinking.

“We’re intent on making QuickBooks Online the number one cloud accounting software in the UK; the agencies have a clear focus and I’m looking forward to integrating them with our internal teams and working closely with them to achieve this.’

Anita Lowe, Director of Meetings and Events at Capita Travel and Events, said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen by Intuit for its agency roster. Appointing Capita Travel and Events as its events agency demonstrates a commitment to long term growth through specialist partnerships.

“Intuit is thinking ahead and taking advantage of agency expertise to create an events strategy that maximises value for money to underpin that growth. We are already working on a number of exciting projects and look forward to further developing our partnership.”
