Wyboston Lakes plays it for thrills

Specialist conference and training venue Wyboston Lakes is broadening its teambuilding and corporate away-days offer by launching a portfolio of ‘thrill park’ activities.

The idea is to make the most of the venue’s water sports lakes and the off-road driving opportunities provided by its 365-acre rural site on the Bedfordshire/Cambridgeshire border.

The venue is partnering with provider Ride Leisure, to offer corporate clients options including wakeboarding, water-skiing, banana boating, jet skiing and Zego, the latest powerboat-based activity from New Zealand.

On land, delegates can drive on a 4×4 off-road course or ride quad bikes. Hovercraft trips on land and water are also available. The new range of activities complements established options, which include egg catapulting, bungee running, raft building, laser clay pigeon shoots and archery.

“The demands of teambuilding and away-day clients are changing: companies are looking for more activities that excite, engage and inspire participants,” says Wyboston Lakes MD Mark Jones. “We are therefore fulfilling the massive potential of our site with what we believe is an unparalleled suite of exhilarating experiences.”
