VenueVerdict Gold for IHG and QHotels

Three Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) UK & Ireland UK properties have achieved the VenueVerdict Gold Standard accreditation, a recognised standard for the highest performing venues in the conference and events sector.
Holiday Inn York, Holiday Inn Edinburgh and Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport each achieved Gold Accreditation for the first quarter of 2014, an accreditation received by 29 venues in the UK. All three registered a Net Promoter Score of +70 or higher for the last 12 months. The scoring is based on the likelihood to recommend the venue of 40 or more event hosts who have held their conference or event at the hotels.
The annual accreditation is based on research conducted by independent market research agency BDRC Continental and is based on feedback from 22,000 event hosts, bookers and customers across 350 venues. 
David Taylor, Head of Commercial for IHG UK & Ireland, said: “This award reinforces the dedication of our teams to getting it right, by delivering the very best service.”

IHG, which has 622 meeting rooms across 61 venues in the UK & Ireland, claims its new ’Food for Thought’ offering is proven to increase mental competence among delegates by 20 per cent.
QHotels is also celebrating picking up VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation for seven of its hotels.

The Oxford Belfry, Chesford Grange, The Nottingham Belfry, The Stratford, Ashford International Hotel and The Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort have all retained the accreditation for the first quarter of 2014.
QHotels has been awarded seven accreditations for a second time – the highest number of accreditations in its brand history.

The group achieved 15 points above the national average in its Net Promoter Score.
