SECC appoints Kathleen Warden as Director of Conference Sales

Kathleen Warden has been appointed Director of Conference Sales at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), taking over the position vacated by Ben Goedegebuure earlier this year. The news follows the recent announcement that Peter Duthie will take on the role of Chief Executive of the company.
Previously Head of Association Sales at the SECC, the position represents a promotion for Warden who has extensive experience in the conference industry. She will be responsible for leading the growth and development of domestic and international, corporate and association conference business for the SECC.
“I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of this new role. The SECC has always taken an innovative approach to the business, and is passionate about delivering quality service and facilities to our customers and ensuring we give them every support possible,” said Warden.
“Our conference business plays a major role in the company and is a crucial part of our success,” said Peter Duthie, Chief Executive of the SECC.
“Kathleen has a huge amount of experience working with the many major conferences that come to the SECC and we’re delighted to now have her driving our total meetings portfolio.”
