The North West Labour Party (NWLP) will return to Blackpool for its annual conference in November 2014, VisitBlackpool has announced.
This will be the fourth year the NWLP has headed to the resort. The event is expected to attract 1,000 delegates and visitors across two days.
The 2014 conference will be held at Blackpool’s Imperial Hotel.
“The fact NWLP is returning for its fourth year in Blackpool is a real nod of approval to the resort because it is an important conference on our business calendar,” said VisitBlackpool Tourism Manager, Mandy Tythe-McCallum.
Business tourism in Blackpool is reported to represent an average of £44m in economic benefit to businesses in the resort each year.
“To welcome up to a thousand delegates over a two-day period is a major financial boost into the local economy and it also represents an opportunity to showcase our resort,” said Cllr Graham Cain, Blackpool Cabinet Member for Tourism and Leisure.
