London-based creative, digital and leadership communications agency, CTN, has acquired Aura Events, the corporate events and production company founded by Erin Hepher in 2005.
Four members of Aura will relocate to CTN’s offices in St Martin’s Lane as part of the deal. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed.
In 2012, Aura managed the opening of The Shard in London.
Aura’s operations have been merged into CTN and the newly combined events team will be managed by Amy Johnson and will trade as CTN.
In 2013, CTN was responsible for staging the G8 Summit of world leaders at Lough Erne in Northern Ireland and in the first quarter of 2014 CTN produced the opening ceremony for the Global Education and Skills Conference in Abu Dhabi, staged the annual all-staff conference for Gazprom Marketing & Trading and organised the global press conference for the 2014 Templeton Prize.
Stephen Watson (pictured), Chief Executive of CTN, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Aura into CTN. They are a fabulous group of people with a track record in delivering highly creative events and experiences. CTN’s own events business is growing and it’s exciting to be able to enhance this with new skills and capabilities.
“Our three practice areas cover strategic communications consultancy; creative production, including video and events; and a specialist digital team addressing social media and innovative technology platforms.”
