Appful to screen out dumb delegates

A new app which works on all smartphone platforms is set to keep delegates paying attention in plenary sessions.

Designed by Durak Solutions and already released in Russia, ’Appful’ monitors the heartbeat of the delegate – provided he or she is holding the mobile device and also detects eyelid movement.

“It could revolutionise attendance and lead to a sharp increase in attention being paid,” said April Fuller of Durak’s London office.

“No longer will the lazy delegate be able to get away with 40 winks during the Chairman’s 40-minute keynote thanks to Appful.”

The app is set for release today in London, 1 April.
