A thousand delegates are expected in October at a national conference which is returning to The International Centre, Telford, for the fourth consecutive year.
The Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation will bring its annual conference and exhibition to TIC later this autumn.
As the Institute’s key event in its annual calendar, the three-day conference is supported by an exhibition with 45 exhibitors.
A Performance Awards Gala Dinner also takes place during the period and will be attended by 600 guests, according to organisers who said: “The Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation is pleased to be returning to The International Centre with its annual conference for a fourth consecutive year.
“As well as the conference, the highlight for many of our delegates is the awards dinner where we have the chance to recognise the organisations that have achieved excellence in the profession.”
Tom Gray (pictured), Chief Executive of Southwater Event Group which owns the venue, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the IRRV conference back to Telford, and we’re sure they will be extremely impressed with the changes that have taken place in the destination since their last visit.
“The new multi-million pound Southwater convention quarter is on the brink of completion and it will create a thriving heart for the town right on our doorstep.
“Thanks to the investment, delegates will have a wealth of facilities to choose from during their stay, and all just yards from their hotel accommodation.”
Founded in 1882, the IRRV is the only professional body in the UK that covers all aspects of local taxation and revenues, local benefits and fraud administration.
