Julie Powell has joined the team at Smart Hospitality and Hawthorn as Sales Director for Smart Hospitality Manchester.
Moving from her previous role at Manchester Central Convention Complex, Powell will be tasked with driving sales and raising the profile for dedicated conferencing and banqueting space, Hall 4, at EventCity.
Powell spent three years at Manchester Central Convention Complex as Sales and Business Development Manager, with account management responsibility for the special events in the venue. Prior to this, she was Head of Sales at the Co-operative Group Travel Division.
At EventCity, Powell will be jointly employed by Smart Hospitality and Hawthorn, sole caterers and production partners to EventCity, promoting Hall 4, which has seen a £2.5m overhaul and can host 5,000 delegates.
