Meetings Industry Association (mia) members attending its 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Church House Conference Centre on 7 April, will have the opportunity to glean business winning advice from leading branding consultant and author, Shaun Smith.
Smith says his consultancy, Smith+co, specialises in defining a customer experience that builds loyalty and turns customers into advocates.
“Like many other industries, the meetings market is becoming ever more crowded and competitive. The emergence of digital channels is creating an opportunity but also greater complexity,” he says.
He will be explaining how brands ’stand out’ from the crowd and sharing findings from research into brands that are transforming their markets and winning.
Jane Longhurst, mia Chief Executive, says that delivering benefits to members that help them achieve a considerable competitive advantage is a key objective of the association “and guest speaker Shaun Smith fits perfectly with this agenda”.
“I am impressed by his strong track record for driving positive change through innovative, business winning ideas, and these will be presented in a way that is specifically relevant to meetings businesses,” Longhurst adds.
The mia’s 24th AGM will be held at Church House Conference Centre in London.
