Confex to donate £5 to Namuwongo charity for every new attendee

The organiser of International Confex has said it will donate £5 to charity for every new visitor from today (7 March) who registers and attends the show.

Held at Olympia London on 12-13 March, International Confex has pledged to support Events For Namuwongo, with £5 being donated for anyone who registers for the event via this link.

“International Confex is all about giving,” said Event Director Donna Bushell of organiser Mash Media. “From the outset when we took over the show, we said we wanted to give it back to the industry. Now we have put together an incredible programme that will provide inspiration to all of our visitors, and with this initiative we are giving money to a great cause.”

Events for Namuwongo is a partnership of people and companies within the events industry who have come together to support a slum community in Uganda.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to Confex for its generosity. We are delighted to have this fundraising boost from Confex,” said Trevor Foley of tfconnect and Board Director of Events for Namuwongo. “If you are planning to visit Confex next week do register and help change lives in Namuwongo today.”

The opening address at International Confex will be made by Nick de Bois MP, chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Events.

The keynote speech on day one will be Karren Brady CBE, Vice-Chairman of West Ham United Football Club, business ambassador, and star of The Apprentice.

Founder and CEO of the MOBO Organisation, Kanya King, will deliver the second keynote at a Q&A session on day two.

International Confex has also confirmed that its entire educational programme now qualifies for CPD learning points.
