Uxbridge-based independent travel management company (TMC), Business Travel Direct, has announced it is expanding into specialist services with the launch of a Conferences and Events division.
The division has been launched in response to growing client demand and the new team will take on everything from venue finding, preparing RFPs and site visits to event and delegate management.
Clients will be able to access an online event management system enabling them to manage budgets online and use a variety of reports to measure success.
The new division will be led by Helen Sawyer, Services Director; Ian Ferguson, Commercial Director; and Mark Bevan, Head of Strategic Relationships.
Julie Oliver (pictured), MD of Business Travel Direct, says: “Conferences and events are a logical extension of the services we offer as it makes it easier for clients to consolidate their expenditure through one single organisation. As a TMC we are well versed in negotiating the best rates, helping companies to monitor their expenditure and measure the ROI achieved.”
Business Travel Direct is part of the Ickenham Travel Group which has over 250 corporate clients.
