Amadeus wins Dudley Zoo catering contract

Amadeus, the catering company that is part of the NEC Group, has won a seven-year contract worth £5.4m to provide the catering at Dudley Zoological Gardens (DZG).

This new contract follows a series of wins for Amadeus, including Cadbury World.

Amadeus will take the reins at DZG on 7 April running the café and kiosks and also managing events for the venue.

As well as improvements to the catering offer, DZG is part way though a five-year investment programme that expects to see significant visitor growth.

Amadeus Managing Director, Kevin Watson, said: “We are pleased to add the Dudley Zoo catering contract to our growing portfolio of fixed site ‘visit’ venues. Dudley Zoo is undergoing significant investment and we have been tasked with improving the catering in line with the visitor experience.”

DZG Chief Executive, Peter Suddock, said: “We are delighted to appoint Amadeus as our partners to provide the on-site catering for our visitors and to develop our event business. They were selected as it was felt they had the culture and experience required for a successful visitor attraction, together with their experience of the NEC, NIA, ICC and LG Arena”.
