Jupiter rings up renovation of meetings space at three hotels

Jupiter Hotels has completed the renovation of meetings and events spaces at three of its hotels in Brighton, Maidstone and Manchester.
 
The Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel has unveiled a £60,000 refurbishment of its Ballroom event space ahead of the property’s 150-year anniversary in 2014. The new room will be able to host 180-seated guests.
 
The new Heart of Kent Suite at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel (pictured) becomes the largest hotel event space in the county, able to host 650-seated guests. Local artwork has been added to the room.
 
Renovation work on the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel’s International Suite was completed late last year, following a £500,000 investment. The space, which is able to accommodate 800 guests theatre-style is one of the North-West’s largest event facilities.
 
Jupiter Hotels CEO, Shane Harris said: “Across our 26 hotels, we’re committed to providing exceptional meeting and conference spaces which leave a lasting impression. We ensure that cutting-edge technology and eye-catching interior design are incorporated into renovation projects that we complete, which our new event spaces in Brighton, Manchester and Maidstone are testament to.”
 
East Sussex-based interior designer Helen Hooper, of HH Interiors who worked on all three projects, said: “The new meeting and event spaces are different in their own right, but there’s continuity in the design, which is an important part of maintaining Jupiter Hotels’ identity.”
 
Jupiter Hotels is a new company which is a 50:50 joint venture between pan-European institutional investor Patron Capital and West Register, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
 
Jupiter Hotels currently operate 26 Mercure branded hotels in the UK under a franchise agreement with Accor.
