Kevin Jackson (pictured), VP Sales & Marketing EMEA at George P Johnson, has been appointed as Chair of the newly formed International Special Events Society (ISES) EMEA Community Relations Committee.
Also joining the new committee are Mike Smith of Showforce, Middle East chapter; Michelle Tayton of Eventive Communication, UK Chapter and freelancer Dilsah Demir of the Central European chapter.
The committee has been set up with the objective of adding value to ISES membership by creating greater connectivity and cohesiveness between ISES EMEA chapters and ISES chapters globally.
The committee will oversee a new EMEA marketing and communications infrastructure to disseminate chapter-based innovation, thought leadership, knowledge sharing and business linkages.
Speaking of his appointment, Jackson said: “I am delighted to take on this role. I believe passionately in ISES and I believe passionately in a globally connected events industry. Brands do not think in geographic silos and ISES needs to be ever quicker and ever more connected if we are to truly deliver for our members”.
Chair of ISES EMEA James Morgan added: “Jackson’s committee is a big boost for ISES EMEA. The region faces considerable structural and marketing challenges. With the new committee facilitating a broad marketing and communications strategy, I believe we can create better value for members as well as greater visibility for ISES as the only international association that represents creative event professionals”.
