ISESTALKS event focuses on changing perspectives

The International Special Events Society (ISES) UK chapter hosted its first educational ISESTALKS of 2014 at The Music Room in Mayfair, London on 4 February.

Comedian and motivational speaker Shed Simove was the main event speaker for the evening and roused the crowd as he relived his experiences from a lifetime of creativity from his days in TV production for programmes such as The Big Breakfast and Big Brother. Simove is the creative mind behind inventions including an international bestselling novel with no words in it, his own merchandise empire and launching his own currency. He also revealed how he once tried to change his name to God.

The ISESTALKS evening was all about thinking differently, and the 75 guests in attendance also heard from Smyle MD and Co-Director of The Sustainable Events Summit who reiterated the need to think differently about the importance of sustainability and its impact on the way global brands are behaving.

Catering for the first time at an ISES event, African-Caribbean caterers Agogo’s served rice, peas and curry goat shooters; Ackee and saltfish tartlets; and Plantain drops with ginger and orange compote.
