Healthy visitor numbers on Day 1 of the Event Production Show

Organiser of the Event Production Show at Earls Court, London, Mash Media (publisher of Conference News) has reported a fantastic opening day, with visitor footfall 25 per cent up on last year and exhibitor feedback revealing an excellent stream of enquiries from existing and new contacts.
With queues filling out the registration area on the second day and a packed programme of seminar content and speakers still to be heard, early indications are that the show is set for its busiest ever year.
Yesterday’s (11 February) Access Sessions, led by Henry Simmonds of Jack Morton Worldwide and Melvin Benn of Festival Republic, were standing room only as visitors heard from industry experts on what to consider in experiential marketing, focusing on the importance of remembering the ‘soft’ measures as well as the tangible results, and the practical ways to achieve truly sustainable events. The Production Area and Event Technology Theatre, both new to the show this year, were also full to capacity.
In the evening, over 600 guests attended the third annual Event Production Awards where, after networking and a three-course meal, the awards were presented by comedian, Jarred Christmas. Winners on the night included Lucy Watson of Sevens7 for Best Employee, while the Access All Areas Editor’s Award went to The Loud Sound Team for their work on the Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time event in Hyde Park.

In addition to the awards, the five finalists in the Eventice competition were announced and welcomed onto the stage, ahead of final interviews and job offers today.
“We’re extremely pleased with the feedback from day one,” said Event Director, Donna Bushell. “To have recorded such a substantial increase in visitor numbers is a huge testament to the efforts of the team in producing an interactive, inspirational and content-driven show.

“The move to Earls Court 2, which has given exhibitors more space to showcase their products and services, has also certainly contributed to this success. We now wish everyone involved a positive and productive final day at the Event Production Show.”

The Event Production Show continues at Earls Court 2 until 5pm on Wednesday 12 February.
