First Event enlarges team and client base

Yorkshire-based event management specialist company First Event reports a ramping up of its business, with involvement in 50 events across the world, a new enlarged client list and more staff taken on for 2014.

The company says it has won four new accounts across the food and beverage, automotive, construction and IT industries.

The agency has launched its Corporate Hospitality Service and added Account Director, Dawn Mitchell and Account Executive, Emily Harper to the team.
 
Director Richard Murphy is focusing the company’s direction on emerging markets, loyalty schemes and exhibition work in what he expects to be a big year for First Event. Murphy told CN that gross profit had gone up from £632k to £822k year on year.

He added: “I would expect to see First Event grow by 30 per cent year on year. We have four new large accounts wins already and three more in the pipeline.” He also expects to employ a further two members of staff.

First Event was established in 1999 and has boasted clients including Amazon, Inchcape and MKM.
