Two of the largest exhibitions serving the UK events industry, International Confex and the Event Production Show (EPS), will co-locate in 2015.
The combined Mash Media event will run at Olympia London on 18-19 February 2015.
“This is brilliant news for both brands and more importantly for the visitors and exhibitors at both shows,” said Donna Bushell, Event Director of the Event Production Show and International Confex, who announced the news at EPS.
“We said from the beginning we wanted to give these shows back to the industry, and through this move we’re giving them the gift of time and allowing them to enjoy the experience of two major exhibitions, in one location during an intensive two-day period.”
The decision to co-locate was taken following extensive research with visitors and exhibitors from both shows and that unanimously showed a desire for the two events to co-locate. The move will create two distinctive buying forums with the opportunity for mass crossover.
“Both shows will remain independent, with features and educational programmes aimed towards the specific visitor profile. However, where crossover makes sense for both visitors, we will encourage a steady flow between the shows and a more spectacular feel to both,” Bushell added.
The two-day Event Production Show launched today (11 February) at Earls Court 2 with packed aisles and a specialist programme of seminar content.
With the news that the London Underground strike has been called off, the show is expecting a bumper turnout.
