Chambers Travel Events boosts team on back of event wins

Chambers Travel Events, part of the London-based Chambers Travel Group, says it has won £1.2m worth of new business over the last two months.

The agency will run one 500-delegate pharmaceutical event in spring 2015 in Edinburgh as well as its own group conference for 120 senior managers this June at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow.

Christopher Wells, Head of Chambers Travel Events tells CN the agency also won the bid to run a 500-delegate conference in January in the IT sector, which will take place in October 2014.

“Our current client base is broad and we will continue to look for new business across all sectors,” Wells adds.

Chambers Travel Events’ recent hire of new Project Executive, Jess Francis (pictured), boosts the team to a total of 10 staff. She brings six years’ experience in the MICE industry including a period from 2009-2013 as Group Event Manager at Absolute Edge from 2009 to 2013, based in Sydney.

The agency says it is also looking to hire an event coordinator and has promoted Hannah Fletcher to Events and Marketing Manager. She joined Chambers Travel Events as an events manager in May 2013.
