The Meeting Space at Medicity, the health, beauty and wellness innovation hub in Nottingham, will host its first national event in February when the Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) brings its annual one-day conference to the city.
The Nanofibres to Nancomoposites III conference is being organised by the NanoKTN in partnership with Nottingham Trent University. The conference will enable delegates to discuss the latest UK developments in nanofibres, nanocomposites, as well as existing and emerging applications.
MediCity is a collaboration between pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer Boots and sciences incubation company BioCity and offers a venue for innovation themed conferences and events. The new innovation hub is housed in the D6 building on the Boots site in Beeston, Nottingham, and is the first initiative to open within the Nottingham Enterprise Zone.
“Nanotechnology may play an increasingly important role in the development of products to manage our future health and wellness, so we are delighted to welcome experts in this field to MediCity,” says Director of MediCity, David Browning. “It also further strengthens our partnership with Nottingham Trent University and Professor Stevens’ team.”
