The International Centre, Telford, (TIC) has retained the UK’s largest veterinary nursing event for a third year in a row.
The British Veterinary Nurses Association (BVNA) brings back its annual three-day congress to TIC in October 2014.
The event is the largest sole veterinary nursing congress in the country, and will offer delegates 70 lectures, interactive workshops, an exhibition and a social programme.
BVNA Association Manager, Angela Mariconda, said: “The decision to host our event for the third year at TIC was an easy one as the event team work hard to ensure our congress runs smoothly and that our delegates have an enjoyable experience.
“The venue provides excellent conference facilities, which enables us to deliver a professional event to our delegates, and it’s within easy access of the major motorways, with onsite hotels and a vast choice of other hotels nearby.”
The BVNA aims to promote animal health and welfare through the ongoing development of professional excellence in veterinary nursing. Its annual congress regularly attracts 1,200 delegates, who this year will all be able to enjoy the benefits of the newly-opened Southwater convention quarter on The International Centre’s doorstep.
Tom Gray (pictured), Chief Executive of Southwater Event Group, which owns the venue, said: “We believe 2014 is going to be an incredibly exciting year for our event organisers and their delegates, as they will be among the very first to enjoy the brand new bars, restaurants and cinema in the new beating heart of the destination.
“We are particularly pleased to see the BVNA congress return to Telford, and we’re sure they will be even more impressed when they discover the additional facilities we now have on offer right outside our front door.”
The multi-million pound Southwater development has created an 11-screen Cineworld cinema, restaurants, bars, a new multi-storey car park and a new 83-bedroom hotel.
