The V&A, Science Museum (pictured) and Natural History Museum in London are teaming up for industry showcase event, Strictly SW7.
The Kensington museums will exhibit their venue space at the showcase event, Strictly SW7, on 4 March 2014.
The event, launched by the museums in 2011 to celebrate the £28m transformation of Exhibition Road, returns with a night of food, fun and entertainment all themed around the museums’ cultural heritage.
Catering, entertainment, lighting, flowers and furnishings will be designed by the venues’ suppliers in co-ordination with each museum’s content and collections.
Invitees will be divided into three groups, each starting at a different museum and moving between venues at two intervals during the evening.
Guests at the V&A will be treated to a menu created by Jackson Gilmour, while ‘Rhubarb’ will showcase their food at the Science Museum. The Natural History Museum will be catered by Ampersand.
Natalie Glaser, Head of Corporate Events at the V&A, said: “Strictly SW7 is a truly exceptional event, where we can work side by side with our fellow museums to show the unique offering our venues provide within the London event scene. After receiving so much positive feedback from the last two Strictly SW7 events, we want to exceed expectations yet again, and showcase the high quality of our suppliers.”
A Twitter photo competition will be running throughout the evening, encouraging guests to Tweet their #StrictlyExperience to be in with a chance of winning prizes sponsored by Ampersand, Satureyes and Pinstripes and Peonies.
