London venue Electric Brixton has selected event caterers Seasoned Events, part of the Crown Group, as a preferred supplier.
The Electric Brixton, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, is an Edwardian variety theatre arranged over two floors and predominately draws events from the music industry.
“The listing represents an exciting opportunity to work in a unique venue,” says MD of Seasoned Events, Colin Sayers (pictured). “Seasoned Events has a strong track record of working with the media sector and in particular the music industry and VIP events. We plan to work in partnership with the new owners to draw a new clientele as well as deliver the catering for their regular events.”
Electric, which reopened in 2010, has recently undergone a major refurbishment. The Main Room, with capacity for 1,500 guests, has retained its theatrical structure and now combines period architectural features with modern touches to create a flexible space.
The ground floor and stage can be overlooked from a mezzanine gallery, and the Main Room is framed by two bars and separate VIP area. There is also a Baby Room, which has been created for smaller events of up to 250 guests.
“I am delighted that we will be working with Seasoned events and hope to introduce The Electric to the wider corporate events industry,” says owner and Chief Executive of Music Venues Ltd, Dominic Madden.
