Royal College of Physicians to host Copper Skillet Competition final

The Royal College of Physicians, London, will host the 11th annual UK final of the International Association of Conference Centres’ ( IACC) Copper Skillet Competition, on 25 January.
The competition, which will include five chef finalists from UK IACC member conference centres, will involve the preparation of their chosen dish using only the contents given to them in a mystery basket.
The finalists will then have to produce their planned dish within a 30 minute time period, to then be reviewed by two industry professional judges. The winners of the UK competition will be invited to represent the UK and compete at the international final in Los Angeles, USA, later in the year.
The Royal College of Physicians’ Executive Chef Dean Robinson has qualified for the finals and will compete at the event on Saturday.
Natacha Allen, Sales and Marketing Manager at the venue, said: “We are pleased to be hosting such a prestigious industry event. We are proud members of IACC and our head chefs have often taken part in the annual competition with our executive chef last year, David Summerell, coming second in the whole competition. We have our fingers crossed for Dean in the upcoming heat.”
