Marketing Liverpool has bolstered its team with the appointment of Emma Bellis as Head of Convention Bureau and Joe Keggin as Press Officer for the Visitor Economy.
Bellis has previously worked at Marketing Cheshire and large agencies and hotel groups in London and overseas.
“I am delighted to be working with such a distinct collection of venues and fantastic hotel accommodation in such a vibrant and exciting city,” says Bellis. “The next two years are important for Liverpool as we build our reputation as a compelling business and tourist destination with the International Festival and a major cultural programme in 2014, and the completion of Exhibition Centre Liverpool in 2015.”
Keggin, who has previously worked at city agencies Kenyon Fraser and Think Publicity, joins the 19-strong team charged with bringing responsibility for the city region’s brand management and promotion into a single entity.
“Emma and Joe have joined Marketing Liverpool at an exciting time for the city with the International Festival for Business now just six months away and at a time when we are working ever more closely with the private sector on a range of key projects, including Liverpool at Mipim,” says Director of Marketing Liverpool, Chris Brown. “I have no doubt that both will make an immediate impression in their roles and bring added benefit to our team.”
