London City Selection (LCS) is to run another weekend familiarisation trip for booking agents in 2014 following its successful Venues Royale Fam weekend last year.
This year’s experiential weekend, to be held 7-9 March, will have a 1930s theme of Pinstripes and Pearls and agents will be offered an opportunity to experience some of the consortium’s AIM-accredited venues and hotels first hand and build their knowledge of the venue market in the City of London.
The programme for Pinstripes & Venue Pearls will include interactive team challenges and a welcome reception and networking evening to take place at Middle Temple along with breakfast at Sadler’s Wells theatre and a gala dinner which will take place at Ironmongers’ Hall.
Events Chair and Fam weekend organiser Lorraine Butler says: “We hope the Pinstripes & Venue Pearls weekend will be a great opportunity for UK event agencies to see some of our more unusual venues, increasing their knowledge of City venues in a fun way. We chose the theme in keeping with the vintage feel of some of our City venues”.
LCS Chair Diane Waldron adds: “After our success with the Venues Royale Fam weekend last year, we are very much looking forward to the Pinstripes & Venue Pearls weekend. Within one day after the invites went out we received 20 agent registrations and we hope that it will be a fun packed event for all involved.”
Other venues involved in the event include Searcys the Gherkin and Whitechapel Gallery.
