BDRC’s Venue Verdict Awards have been announced with venue group etc.venues achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction ratings during 2013 in the mid-sized category for the third consecutive year. QHotels and EEF Venues won the award for large group and small group respectively.
Alastair Stewart, MD of etc.venues, said: “All industry professionals know that delivering service excellence day in day out is hard enough so winning this award for the third year running is something the whole etc.venues team can be rightfully proud of, particularly as it is the industry’s clients that determine these awards.”
The VenueVerdict Accreditation Programme provides an unbiased measure of service standards in the meetings market. Venues and groups are benchmarked on a number of measures, and the chains recording the highest headline scores for the year are independently recognised as providing the best customer experience for meetings and events.
This year’s results are based on 22,000 individual responses from event planners across a pool of over 360 participating venues. The awards are split into three groups (large group, mid-sized group and small group) recognising the different operational challenges that face groups of different sizes.
“Over seven years that we have been running this programme, we have seen a consistent increase in the quality standards from the many participating venues,” said Client Services Director at BDRC, James Bland. “Their participation in independent external accreditation is evidently repaid by closer customer relationships resulting from the better service they are able to provide.”
