Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has won its bid to host the 11th annual DEVEX Conference on 6-7 May 2014.
DEVEX 2014 is run jointly by the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, the Society for Petroleum Engineers and the Aberdeen Formation Evaluation Society and is supported by the Department for Energy and Climate Change.
The two-day conference and exhibition will focus on the theme ’Adding Value by Accelerating Activity’ and will attract geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, production technologists, well engineers and drilling engineers from Scotland, Europe and beyond.
Senior industry figures will be delivering keynote speeches on both days of the conference, which will be opened on 6 May by Pete Jones, MD of TAQA Bratani. The featured keynote speaker on day two of the conference will be Crawford Anderson, Vice President UK Geomarket for Baker Hughes.
DEVEX 2013 will also feature a poster session and competition, along with a dedicated event and networking session for Young Professionals.
“DEVEX returns for its 11th year at AECC, the National Energy Exhibition Centre,” says AECC’s MD, Brian Horsburgh. “This is a key event in the industry, which attracts delegates from all over Europe. DEVEX takes place in May, the same month we welcome the All-Energy and Skipper Expo International Exhibitions.”
