House of Fisher opened a new apart-hotel in Reading, 6 January, with 50 apartments suitable for business travellers and small meetings.
The doors of 100 Kings Road opened after a year-long makeover costing £8m.
The entire Kings Road area of central Reading is undergoing major rejuvenation and the 100 Kings Road apart-hotel scheme offers executive studios, and one, two and three bedroom apartments.
The rooms have guest lounge areas, and there is an onsite gym, a 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi.
House of Fisher Chairman John Fisher said: “The vision for this project was to provide our clients with something different. We wanted to build in the highest standards of comfort and convenience, plus provide a true 24/7 onsite service for residents. It’s a significant and exciting investment for Reading and will bring a greater vitality to this part of town.
“Primarily aimed at the increasingly transient business market, especially project workers, consultants and typically those that have variable stays, these fully-equipped suites offer a new level of luxury and comfort coupled with excellent leisure facilities.”
The facility is close to the Reading Business Centre and the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre at the Madjeski Stadium.
House of Fisher specialises in delivering short or extended stay accommodation solutions to UK and worldwide corporations.
