Mondrian London appoints Director of Events

Boutique hotel Mondrian London, which opens in 2014, has appointed Kate Northrop as Director of Events.

Northrop has 25 years experience in the events industry and prior to joining Mondrian London she worked as a freelance Event Producer for The Katie Piper Foundation developing its fundraising gala dinner, including event logistics, securing celebrity entertainment, creating fundraising activities and handling all branding and marketing relating to the event.

Northrop was also the Event Producer and Consultant for Jamie Oliver and the Jamie Oliver Foundation. Prior to this, she worked in the hospitality sector as Banqueting Manager of Jumeirah Carlton Tower, The Berkeley, The Landmark and was in event sales for The Savoy Group.

Mondrian London, the first ever Mondrain branded boutique hotel outside of the US, will launch in Spring 2014. Situated on the banks of The River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, the hotel is being designed by Design Research Studio.

The hotel will feature six meeting rooms offering a total of 500sqm of space; 359 rooms and suites; a riverside bar and brasserie with outdoor seating; rooftop lounge and terrace; a spa and private screening room.
